Allonnia Launches SAFF®10 to Bring Compact, Sustainable PFAS Remediation to Small-Scale Sites in North America

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Allonnia, a bio-ingenuity company dedicated to extracting value where others see waste, today announces the launch of the SAFF®10, a compact, mobile PFAS treatment system designed to meet the growing demand for small-scale, sustainable remediation.

Engineered by EPOC Enviro and distributed by Allonnia in North America, the SAFF®10 system offers a powerful new option for challenging sites with low or intermittent flow, spatial limitations, or remote access. Leveraging the same patented Surface Active Foam Fractionation (SAFF®) process used in large-scale SAFF® deployments, the SAFF®10 provides proven, efficient PFAS removal in a smaller, more agile format.

SAFF® is a separation and concentration approach to PFAS remediation, where a combination of sustainable engineering and biomimicry using air bubbles is used to rapidly ‘foam out’ more than 99% of target PFAS molecules, enabling treated water to be safely returned to the environment.

“Many of today’s PFAS challenges are concentrated in small facilities, rural communities, and legacy sites that lack access to major infrastructure,” said Nicole Richards, CEO of Allonnia. “The SAFF®10 helps democratize clean water by delivering a powerful, low-waste treatment solution that fits in a small footprint bringing advanced remediation to places that need it most.”

The SAFF®10 footprint is about 7.5 feet by 15 feet, can treat up to 20,000 gallons of contaminated water per day and includes both primary and secondary foam fractionation stages to maximize PFAS capture. It is designed for modularity, ease of transport, and seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

Ideal for use in landfill leachate, groundwater, industrial effluent, AFFF rinse water, and spill response, the SAFF®10 features:

  • Up to 20,000 gallons per day treatment capacity
  • Compact footprint (7.5' x 15'), trailer-mountable
  • Dual-stage fractionation for superior PFAS capture
  • Dosing capability for Booster-enhanced short chain PFAS removal
  • Remote telemetry-enabled
  • Forklift-compatible

The launch of the SAFF®10 expands Allonnia’s suite of PFAS remediation offerings, which includes SAFF®40 units and foam fractionation boosters.

Over the last three years, Allonnia’s capabilities for SAFF® have successfully deployed the technology to more than a dozen locations across North America, contributing to nearly 400 million gallons of water treated globally, and a 99.9% PFAS removal rate. The technology continues to set the industry standard for sustainability and performance in PFAS treatment.
