The Standard Promotes Kate O’Farrell to Assistant Vice President, Global Capability Center Talent and Culture

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) announced today that Kate O’Farrell was promoted to assistant vice president, Global Capability Center Talent and Culture.

In this role, O’Farrell will guide scaling and optimization for The Standard’s Global Capability Center talent functions including workforce planning, talent acquisition and employee engagement. She will also serve as leader for the GCC Human Resources team as well as HR chief of staff.

O’Farrell began her career at The Standard in 2017 as an HR business partner. Most recently, she was a senior HR business partner supporting Information Technology, Individual Disability Insurance and Corporate Development.

Before joining The Standard, O’Farrell worked in HR roles at Oregon Health & Science University, Tacoma Housing Authority and Portland Public Schools.

O’Farrell earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing as well as a master’s in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University.
