LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Get ready to melt your mind and fry your eyeballs: tickets are officially on sale for Jimmy and Stiggs, the first theatrical release from Eli Roth’s new horror studio, The Horror Section. The alien-splattered, 16mm-fueled fever dream from director Joe Begos invades theatres nationwide on August 15, 2025. Fans can now secure their seats at jimmyandstiggs.com.

Following a jaw-dropping trailer unveiling that left horror fans screaming for more, Jimmy and Stiggs is being hailed as a must-see theatrical experience. Shot entirely on 16mm film over the course of four years in Begos’ apartment, the movie is a neon blood-drenched DIY masterpiece — every alien puppet, blood rig, and camera pulley handcrafted by Begos and his crew of maniacs.

“This is the type of movie I dreamed of seeing in a theatre as a teenager. It’s totally bonkers, unhinged, full on splatter, shot on film, practical effects,” said Eli Roth, Founder of The Horror Section. “People are calling this movie the wettest horror film they’ve ever seen and I don’t disagree. What Joe and his team pulled off has to be seen to be believed, it’s that crazy. And so much fun. Releasing movies like “Jimmy and Stiggs” that studios were too scared to put in theatres is the very reason I founded The Horror Section. It’s a horror fan’s gory wet dream.”

Already making waves with packed screenings around the country and at Beyond Fest and Sitges Film Festival, Jimmy and Stiggs is fast becoming a cult sensation. Begos’ no-holds-barred vision, backed by longtime collaborator Josh Ethier under their Channel 83 Films label, delivers a relentless blend of alien gore, neon chaos, and unapologetic ‘80s grindhouse energy.

“Making Jimmy and Stiggs was an absolutely insane, backbreaking, four-year descent into alien splatter madness - every frame, puppet, and blood rig built by hand in my apartment with a crew of maniacs,” said Joe Begos. “Now, it’s finally time to unleash it the way it was meant to be seen: on 16mm, in a theater, with a packed crowd ready to have their brains melted and eyeballs seared. This is the ultimate midnight movie, and I can’t wait for fans across the country to experience the chaos.”

Distributed by Iconic Events and backed by Media Capital Technologies (MCT), Jimmy and Stiggs kicks off The Horror Section’s mission to bring original, theatrical-first horror back to the fans.
