LOWELL, Mass. & WESTON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--UKG, a leading provider of HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions, has been named a Leader in the 2025 Nucleus Research Workforce Management (WFM) Technology Value Matrix for the sixth consecutive year. The report highlights the AI-powered UKG Pro Workforce Management suite and focuses on this year’s introduction of AI agents, enhancements to industry-specific tools for healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and other key verticals, and global payroll visibility through UKG One View.

The Nucleus Research WFM Technology Value Matrix is an annual assessment of how workforce management solutions meet current and future customer needs. UKG once again secured a Leader position for delivering a combination of intuitive product usability and robust functionality.

“UKG technology allows us to take better care of our people and our patients,” said Jon Stabbe, director of workforce management at Community Health System, a hospital system with 11,000 employees. “Our staff can see their schedules in UKG and pick up shifts at their home unit or nearby facilities, which gives them better work-life balance and has contributed to an increase in retention. The changes we’ve put in place as a result of implementing UKG technology have helped us save $2.8 million.”

Nucleus highlights the value of UKG Bryte agentic AI, including a Meal and Break AI agent that alerts frontline managers when employees need to take breaks, helping to mitigate risks related to one of the most common labor law violations. For healthcare, a self-scheduling agent creates personalized schedules based on staff preferences, credentials, and shift eligibility.

UKG Pro Workforce Management helps customers become more productive with a full suite experience that can also include:

  • UKG One View, a transformative multi-country payroll solution that creates a single process to synchronize, manage, and perpetually validate payroll calculations from all in-country payroll providers, while also delivering a single, real-time view of all payroll data globally;
  • UKG Strategic Workforce Planning, which delivers short-term forecasting and long-term capacity planning tools that allow organizations to predict, analyze, and proactively plan to prevent gaps in labor needs;
  • UKG Talk, a frontline employee communications platform to connect people working across shifts, roles, and locations with two-way messaging, company-wide announcements, employee resource groups based on shared interests, and trainings;
  • UKG Pro Employee Voice™, a conversational survey solution addressing key frontline worker needs by enabling flexible survey collection, providing leaders with the feedback to improve workplace culture and employee engagement; and
  • UKG Wallet™, a digital financial wellness platform that provides employees with on-demand access to their earned wages, allowing them to manage their finances more effectively.

“UKG is a Leader in our WFM Technology Value Matrix for the sixth year now by demonstrating strong product usability and the ability to support complex workforce management needs across various industries,” said Evelyn McMullen, research manager at Nucleus Research. “With its comprehensive suite, including an array of generative AI and AI agent use cases, coupled with in-depth, real-time insights and recommendations, UKG is clearly committed to helping organizations unlock their growth goals by optimizing productivity, creating great employee experiences, and delivering workforce intelligence in the moment decisions need to be made.”

This recognition comes on the heels of two additional top rankings in human capital management (HCM) from Nucleus Research: the UKG Ready® suite was named a Leader in the SMB HCM Technology Value Matrix for the fifth consecutive year, and UKG Pro® was named a Leader in the HCM Technology Value Matrix for the 14th consecutive year.
