COPE Health Solutions Adds Leading Physician Expert to Its Leadership Team

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--COPE Health Solutions (CHS), a national tech enabled services firm powering success for payers and providers in value based care, is proud to announce its new Chief Medical Officer, Richard Petrucci, MD.

Dr. Petrucci brings years of experience as a CMO, medical director and quality leader at both health plans and fully delegated IPAs. As the CHS CMO, Dr. Petrucci is the dyad leader for all medical management, clinical analytics, financial analytics, value-based care enablement and health plan enablement, as well as the CMO for the affiliated CHS Medical Group, including our newly launching Care at Home Solutions for complex multi-chronic patients with high utilization and cost.

With Dr. Petrucci’s leadership, COPE Health Solutions clients will benefit from enhanced clinical strategy and execution that is deeply integrated with our industry-leading Analytics for Risk Contracting (ARC) platform. Dr. Petrucci has subject matter expertise in all facets of health plan, IPA and MSSP ACO/ ACO REACH clinical operations, including disease management, quality management, physician profiling, NCQA accreditation and chronic care management for Medicaid, Medicare and commercial lines of business.

Prior to joining CHS, Dr. Petrucci served as the Chief Medical Officer at SOMOS Innovation. His focus there was on building programs to improve health care across the Downstate New York region, with a particular focus on the South Bronx. Through this role, Dr. Petrucci also oversaw the care delivered by over 1000 PCPs. In addition to his many CMO and medical director roles in health plans, Dr. Petrucci also spent 8 years in the pharmaceutical industry developing insulin products for diabetics.
