Bartlett to Gain Nation’s Fastest Major Internet with Metronet Expansion

Metronet Brings 100% Fiber Optic Internet to More of Illinois

EVANSVILLE, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Metronet, named PCMag’s fastest major ISP, announced today plans to invest tens of millions of dollars to bring 100% fiber-optic internet to Bartlett, Ill. Metronet’s privately funded investment will deliver symmetrical, multigigabit fiber-optic internet directly to homes and businesses, offering residents service of up to five gigabits per second and businesses up to ten gigabits per second.

Construction is expected to break ground in the coming weeks, with the first customers expected to gain service before fall. Residents and businesses interested in Metronet’s services can visit metronet.com/il/bartlett to sign up for pre-sale and construction updates.

Recognized as the country’s “Fastest Major ISP” by PCMag two years in a row, Metronet will equip Bartlett residents and businesses with the fastest, 100% fiber-optic multigigabit internet speeds. With access to Metronet directly from their home or business, consumers will tap into symmetrical upload and download speeds, allowing better and faster video conferencing, streaming, gaming and more.

As construction progresses, Bartlett residents will see Metronet trucks in the area. Residents will receive communication by mail about construction activity in their neighborhood 30 days prior to the start date. Additional notifications, such as yard signs, will also inform residents of upcoming construction. Metronet crews will be identifiable by ID tags and branded vehicles.
