Eldridge Capital Management Expands Capital Formation Group with Industry Veterans, Leo van den Thillart and Robert White

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eldridge Capital Management, an alternative investment firm and a division of Eldridge, has appointed Leo van den Thillart as Global Head of Capital Formation and Robert (“Bob”) White as Head of Capital Formation, Americas. The pair’s combined 50 years of experience will be pivotal to the expansion of Eldridge Capital Management’s global investor relationships and capital formation capabilities across key markets.

Mr. van den Thillart and Mr. White join Eldridge Capital Management from CBRE and Brookfield Asset Management, respectively. They previously worked together at Brookfield Asset Management for over 15 years.

Mr. van den Thillart, who joins Eldridge Capital Management this month, brings over 25 years of experience leading capital formation and strategic advisory initiatives across private markets. He previously served as Global Head of the Private Funds Group at Brookfield, where he was instrumental in developing and expanding the firm’s private funds business, and as Global Head of Investment Banking at CBRE Capital Advisors, overseeing global fundraising and advisory efforts. His extensive institutional network and international experience will help drive Eldridge Capital Management’s expansion across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Mr. White most recently served as a senior executive within Brookfield’s Private Funds Group. He was notably global head of the client relationship team across credit, real estate, infrastructure, and private equity strategies before more recently forming the dedicated Credit Solutions team to serve Brookfield and its Partner Managers, within credit, as its CEO. His 25-year background includes significant experience creating initiatives and raising capital for alternative investment strategies, including private credit, and his proven ability to build durable institutional partnerships will be critical to Eldridge Capital Management’s growth strategy.

“We are excited to welcome Leo and Bob to Eldridge Capital Management, following the successful consolidation of six investment teams in the first quarter. From here, Leo and Bob will support our journey to build out a global alternative investment platform, attracting clients to partner with our capital,” said Tony Minella, Co-founder and President of Eldridge Industries, and Chief Executive Officer of Eldridge Capital Management. “Their combined experience in business development, investor relationship management, and capital formation will be key as we continue to scale our capabilities and serve a broader base of partners.”
