Brigadier General Paul Craft, U.S. Army (Ret.), Joins Appgate Federal Advisory Board

Craft is the Founder of the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Global Operations Command and Former Director of Cybersecurity Operations Across the Department of Defense for U.S. Cyber Command

CORAL CABLES, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Appgate, the secure access company, today announced that Brigadier General Paul Craft, US Army, (Ret.) has joined its Federal Advisory Board. Craft brings more than 30 years of progressive technical and organizational leadership experience to the board, with expertise in network operations, cybersecurity, offensive cyber operations, Zero Trust architectures, cloud security, and AI-enabled solutions.

Craft's distinguished military career includes being the longest-serving Chief of Cyber for the U.S. Army and Commandant of the Army’s Cyber and Electromagnetic Warfare School. He also founded and commanded the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Global Operations Command, responsible for one of the Department of Defense’s largest network and cybersecurity operations centers. At U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), he directed the Department of Defense’s global cybersecurity operations, implementing Zero Trust principles, secure internet access, and developing cloud security frameworks.

As the Founder and CEO of Craft Cyber Group, Craft advises companies on strategic goals with a focus on Zero Trust and artificial intelligence technologies. His extensive background in federal cybersecurity policy, procurement processes, and the challenges faced by government agencies adopting new cybersecurity solutions makes him a valuable addition to the Appgate Federal Advisory Board.

Craft's experience also includes leading offensive cyber operations and active defenses for the DOD’s network in three major theaters simultaneously; engineering, operating, and securing advanced networks; and managing cyber policy and resources in the Department of the Army CIO/G-6 office.
