Former Hospital Executive Sunil Mungee Joins Nomi Health as Regional Vice President

Former CEO brings decades of health system leadership to expand Nomi’s direct contracting model and network for employers and their communities

OREM, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nomi Health, a direct healthcare company rebuilding healthcare for self-insured employers nationwide, has appointed Sunil Mungee as Regional Vice President. A former hospital CEO and seasoned healthcare executive, Mungee joins with a mission to expand Nomi Health’s direct contracting model and care delivery network across the country.

Mungee brings more than two decades of hospital and health system leadership to Nomi, having served as President and CEO of Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems, Executive Director at Mercy, and in senior roles at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He has successfully implemented direct-to-employer care models that brought more than 50,000 covered lives.

As Regional Vice President, Mungee will lead strategy and execution across key states, including Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Kansas, helping bridge traditional hospital care with Nomi’s modern model that simplifies how people access, navigate, and pay for care. His appointment comes as Nomi continues to scale its direct network, deliver high-quality care at lower costs, and support employers, providers, and members nationwide.

“It’s my pleasure to join Nomi Health as Regional Vice President,” said Mungee. “I’m excited to take the mission and vision of Nomi Health to greater heights by helping fix the broken business of healthcare.”

Mungee’s arrival signals Nomi’s continued commitment to transforming healthcare from the ground up—pairing hospital leadership with direct contracting models to make care more accessible, affordable, and aligned with the needs of employers and communities.

“Sunil is an invaluable addition to the team,” said Amy Wykoff, Chief Product Officer and Network General Manager at Nomi Health. “When I met Sunil, it was immediately clear that his proven success in building direct care models aligned perfectly with Nomi’s vision for our network. With Sunil leading the charge, we’re accelerating our ability to grow the network and forge stronger partnerships between providers and local employers—transforming how healthcare is delivered to members.”
