Intel 471’s Chief Intelligence Officer Michael DeBolt Honored as a Finalist of the 2025 SC Awards

DeBolt is recognized among the Most Innovative Executives and Practitioners of the Year

WILMINGTON, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Intel 471, the premier provider of cyber threat intelligence (CTI) solutions across the globe, is proud to announce that Michael DeBolt, Chief Intelligence Officer (CIO), is named a finalist for the 2025 SC Awards in the Innovative Executive/ Practitioner of the Year category. This finalist recognition spotlights Michael’s innovative leadership in cybersecurity and dedication to operationalizing threat intelligence. The SC Awards, now in its 28th year, recognize the solutions, organizations and individuals that have demonstrated outstanding achievement in advancing the security of information systems.

With more than 20 years of experience in the military, commercial security and federal law enforcement, DeBolt brings unique expertise and strategic leadership to Intel 471. He leads his internal team of experts to track threats in real-time, producing intelligence reports that give organizations valuable cyber intelligence data to help maximize their operations and make more effective business decisions. In addition, Michael spearheads a group of cybersecurity industry leaders who created the Cyber Threat Intelligence Capability Maturity Model (CTI-CMM), a framework to operationalize threat intelligence that integrates with an organization’s objectives and outcomes.

“This SC Award finalist recognition is a testament to the incredible work of my colleagues at Intel 471 as well as the broader CTI-CMM community, who have been instrumental in driving important innovations in CTI,” said Michael DeBolt, CIO at Intel 471. “CTI is more than just understanding threats – it’s about empowering organizations to take a more holistic approach to threat intelligence that supports their entire business. I look forward to continuing to advance our efforts to get ahead of evolving threats and supporting our awesome community wherever we can.”

The 2025 award entries were evaluated across 33 specialty categories by a distinguished panel of judges representing sectors such as healthcare, financial services, education and technology.

“From the rise of generative AI attacks to breaches exploiting third-party access and non-human credentials, the past year has reminded us that cybersecurity needs to be about innovations that help enterprises pivot, adapt, and thrive in a threat landscape that changes by the hour,” said Tom Spring, Senior Editorial Director, SC Media. “Being named an SC Awards finalist is a recognition not only of technical innovation, but of a shared commitment to making the digital world safer.”

A full list of finalists can be found here. SC Award winners will be announced on April 29, 2025.
