X-energy Adds Dr. Oded Doron to Leadership Team as Vice President of Engineering

ROCKVILLE, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--X-energy Reactor Company, LLC (“X-energy” or the “Company”), a leading developer of advanced small modular nuclear reactors and fuel technology for clean energy generation, today announced the appointment of Dr. Oded Doron as Vice President, Engineering. A leader in advanced reactor development, Dr. Doron brings a combination of deep technical knowledge, reactor design expertise, and innovation to X-energy’s efforts to scale its technology in the marketplace.

Dr. Doron joins X-energy from Kairos Power where he was most recently Senior Director of Reactor System Design, with direct oversight and responsibility for its fluoride salt-cooled high-temperature reactor. He previously held engineering management roles at TerraPower, Sababa Engineering, and Domatex, as well as technical leadership and subject matter expert roles at Sandia National Laboratory and Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory.

Dr. Doron holds doctorate and master’s degrees in nuclear and radiation engineering, as well as a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a registered Professional Engineer.
