This inaugural research highlight draws from the Conference of State Bank Supervisors’ (CSBS) 2024 Annual Survey of Community Banks, which features responses from nearly 370 institutions across 38 states. The panel address the question, “What technological developments will be promising opportunities for your bank over the next five years?”

The agency invited four thought leaders to weigh in on the implications of the survey’s findings. Charles Potts, EVP and Chief Innovation Officer at the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA), Todd Robertson, SVP of Client Services at ARGO, Allan Rayson, Founder and CEO at Finov8r and Kim Snyder, Founder and CEO at KlariVis, provide unique perspectives on how community banks can leverage technology to compete, grow and better serve both consumer and business customers.

Scott Mills, president of William Mills Agency, said, “Research data rarely tells a story. By focusing on a single chart and combining it with expert analysis, we’re able to offer timely, relevant perspectives in a more accessible way. We’re especially grateful to our panel for their thoughtful and candid insights, which adds value and context to the findings.”
