Revive Environmental is at the forefront of commercial PFAS remediation, providing turn-key solutions that eliminate harmful contaminants from AFFF fire-fighting foams, landfill leachate, and industrial wastewater. The company’s proprietary PFAS Annihilator® ensures complete destruction, achieving compliance with the most stringent regulatory standards.

Hendry joins Revive Environmental from SCW Systems, where he served as technology lead and head of engineering for SCW Gasification, overseeing the design, construction, and operation of one of the world’s largest supercritical water facilities. Before that, he played a key role in the development of the PFAS Annihilator as an early contributor with Battelle. His career began at Duke University, where he contributed to pioneering SCWO research for wastewater treatment in underserved communities.

With a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri, Hendry has built a career advancing sustainable solutions for hazardous waste management. At Revive Environmental, he will lead the company’s SCWO technology development, system optimization, and rapid deployment at commercial facilities nationwide.

“Doug’s deep technical expertise in SCWO and his experience scaling large-scale systems make him the ideal leader for our next phase of growth," said Rick Gillespie, Chief Commercial Officer at Revive Environmental. “His leadership will be instrumental in accelerating our commercial rollout, expanding our capacity at permitted facilities, and delivering a proven solution for complete PFAS destruction.”

Hendry expressed his enthusiasm for joining Revive Environmental: “Revive has the technology, mission, and drive to create real-world, positive impact. I’m excited to join such a team and to leverage my experience to help accelerate our technology’s development and reach.”

As CTO, Hendry will oversee end-to-end technology development, design, and expansion, ensuring Revive accelerates as the industry leader in SCWO-based PFAS destruction. Under his leadership, the company will expand SCWO adoption nationwide, helping industries achieve complete PFAS destruction with verified results.
