Top Plaintiffs Firm Gibbs Law Group Renamed Gibbs Mura

Award-winning, national law firm will continue to provide the highest caliber of advocacy on behalf of its clients

OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gibbs Law Group LLP, founded in 2014 by Eric Gibbs and Dylan Hughes, has added partner Andre Mura to the firm’s name, becoming Gibbs Mura, A Law Group. The firm has repeatedly been recognized as one of the top plaintiff-side firms in the country, representing individuals, whistleblowers, employees, and small businesses across the U.S. against the world’s largest corporations. The name change reflects the firm’s continuing commitment to earning the trust of clients and courts throughout the country, as well as helping to shape the law in a variety of practice areas.

“Not only is Andre a brilliant litigator and phenomenal advocate for our clients, he also shows his commitment to the firm's success by going out of his way to support his colleagues,” said Eric Gibbs. “This is what real leadership is all about, and that's why I'm beyond thrilled to see his name on the firm as we look to the future and begin to recognize the individual talent our law group comprises.”

A partner with the firm since 2015, Andre has built a distinguished reputation for exceptional writing and developing novel legal theories on behalf of consumers in complex litigation. Andre frequently takes on challenging legal issues, with specialization in the areas of preemption, qualified immunity, federal jurisdiction and procedure, and forced arbitration. Andre has also tried multiple cases, written and argued numerous successful appeals in the Ninth and Fifth Circuits and the California appellate courts, and has led his teams in resolving complex, high-stakes cases.

Andre has been appointed by judges throughout the country to leadership roles in major cases against some of the largest companies in the world. He currently represents a potential class of millions of patients whose sensitive health data was allegedly unlawfully tracked and intercepted by Meta (In re: Meta Pixel Healthcare Data Privacy Litigation) and hundreds of children and their families in lawsuits alleging that they have been harmed by addiction to TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and other social media platforms (In re: Social Media Adolescent Addiction/Personal Injury Products Liability Litigation). In these and past cases, Andre has served in instrumental strategic roles, leading teams in briefing, discovery, and trial.

Andre is the son of immigrants, one of the first in his family to attend college, and part of the LGBT community. He has cultivated broad relationships with legal and public interest partners, serving as a Board Member of the Civil Justice Research Initiative of Berkeley Law, Board Member of the Impact Fund, Trustee of the National Civil Justice Institute, past Chair of the American Association for Justice’s LGBT Caucus, and a member of Williams College’s Latino/a and BiGLATA Alumni Network.

Andre Mura said, “It is an honor to be part of this incredible law firm. Every single person within our firm consistently provides the highest levels of advocacy and support to our clients, and I couldn’t be prouder of the work we do every day.”
