Harvest Announces Filing of the Preliminary Prospectus for 2 New Harvest Low Vol ETFs

OAKVILLE, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Harvest Portfolios Group Inc. (“Harvest”) is pleased to announce that it has filed a preliminary prospectus with the Canadian securities regulators for the Harvest Low Volatility Canadian Equity ETF (“HVOL”) and the Harvest Low Volatility Canadian Equity Income ETF (“HVOI”).

HVOL provides investors access to a diversified Canadian equity portfolio seeking long-term capital appreciation, with lower overall volatility, while HVOI provides investors access to the same strategy, enhanced with higher monthly cash distributions.

Investment Objectives of the Harvest ETFs

HVOL will seek to provide Unitholders with (i) the opportunity for capital appreciation and (ii) lower overall volatility of portfolio returns than is otherwise experienced by broadly owning Equity Securities of Canadian mid and large capitalization issuers directly.

HVOI will seek to provide Unitholders with (i) monthly cash distributions; (ii) the opportunity for capital appreciation; (iii) lower overall volatility of portfolio returns than is otherwise experienced by broadly owning Equity Securities of Canadian mid and large capitalization issuers directly; and (iv) further decreased volatility by writing covered call and/or covered put options on the securities in the Harvest Low Volatility Canadian Equity Income ETF’s portfolio. The level of option writing may vary based on market volatility and other factors.

Harvest, a registered investment fund manager and portfolio manager, will act as promoter, trustee, manager and portfolio manager of HVOL and HVOI and will be responsible for the administration of HVOL and HVOI.
