Second Cup Eliminates Charges for Non-Dairy and Lactose-Free Milk Substitutes

MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Effective February 27, 2025, all Second Cup cafés nationwide will eliminate the additional charge for non-dairy and lactose-free milk alternatives, reinforcing the brand's commitment to providing choice and accessibility for all coffee lovers.

With this change, guests can enjoy their preferred non-dairy and lactose-free options—almond milk, coconut milk, soy milk, oat milk, lactose-free 2% milk, and lactose-free skim milk, at no extra cost.

"Our goal has always been to create a welcoming café experience," said Peter Mammas, Founder and CEO of Foodtastic, parent company of Second Cup. "We recognize that preferences and dietary needs vary, and by removing this charge, we're ensuring that all our guests can customize their drinks without an added cost."

The decision comes as customer expectations shift towards more flexible and accommodating offerings. The change aligns Second Cup with its mission of delivering premium, sustainable, and memorable experiences for its customers.

All 178 Second Cup locations will no longer charge for non-dairy and lactose-free milk alternatives. The change will be reflected on menu boards and in-store pricing immediately.
