Husch Blackwell Names New COO and Structures Leadership Team to Lay Groundwork for Strategic Growth

ST. LOUIS, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Husch Blackwell today announced the next phase in its strategic growth, naming Angela Quinn as its new Chief Operating Officer and reimagining its leadership structure to position it for future lateral and acquisition expansion. The organizational changes are designed to help the firm capitalize on growth opportunities created by its success over the past 10 years, which include seven consecutive years of revenue growth—six of them double digit growth—and a 90% increase in attorney headcount to over 1,100 attorneys.

The changes are designed to scale the firm’s operations to its growth to date and prepare for the growth to come. Husch Blackwell is deploying a best-in-class business operations structure to support its growth strategy and provide an industry-best experience for its clients and professionals. Under the new structure, the firm will create an operations division and a separate marketing and business development division. The marketing and business development division will be under the direction of a yet to be appointed Chief Business Development Officer, while operations and services that most directly impact the client experience, as well as lateral and strategic growth, will fall under Quinn’s leadership.

A 20-year firm veteran, Quinn has practiced law and held senior leadership positions at Husch Blackwell—most recently as the firm’s Chief Client Officer—giving her in-depth experience and understanding of the firm and the needs of its clients and attorneys.

“Our extraordinary advances in headcount, mostly organic, have been coupled with consistently strong revenue, and now it is time to scale our operational structure to match that growth,” said Jamie Lawless, Husch Blackwell Chief Executive. “We are going to be doubling down on growth this year, and there is no one better to lead those efforts than Angela.”

By more clearly defining, measuring, and refining its structure, the firm can execute – and accelerate – its successful business strategy.
