Abridge Hires Experienced Tech Executive Sagar Sanghvi as CFO to Fuel Next Phase of Growth

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Abridge, the leading AI platform for clinical conversations, has appointed Sagar Sanghvi as its first Chief Financial Officer for its next phase of growth. With nearly fifteen years of experience as an operator and investor, Sanghvi brings a long history of financial leadership to Abridge as it continues to scale rapidly.

“Abridge needs agility and creativity to continue serving the needs of clinicians and patients across a diverse array of care settings, specialties, and languages,” said Dr. Shiv Rao, CEO and Founder of Abridge. “Sagar is a rare variant of strategic CFO who has extensive experience working in highly dynamic markets like healthcare AI.”

Sanghvi joins Abridge from Accel, where he was a partner investing in and advising growth-stage technology businesses. Prior to that, he spent six years at Instacart, where he rose to the position of CFO. During his tenure, Sanghvi played a key role in transforming Instacart’s financial profile, navigating the company through the unprecedented demand of the COVID-19 pandemic, scaling the team from 300 to 1,500 employees, and raising over $2 billion in financing.

“I am thrilled to join Shiv and the team at Abridge,” said Sanghvi. “The company’s DNA in healthcare and technology has enabled it to create a magical product that enhances millions of medical conversations each year—improving the quality of care for doctors and patients. The business has an equally strong foundation, and I look forward to partnering with this exceptional team to build a generational company.”
