Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas Welcomes TDHCA Executive Director Bobby Wilkinson to the Affordable Housing Advisory Council

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) is pleased to announce the appointment of Bobby Wilkinson, executive director of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA), to the FHLB Dallas Affordable Housing Advisory Council (Advisory Council).

“It is such an honor to be appointed to the FHLB Dallas Affordable Housing Advisory Council. I look forward to working with my fellow members to continue and expand the great affordable housing work done by FHLB Dallas,” Mr. Wilkinson said.

Mr. Wilkinson has led the TDHCA since August 2019. TDHCA administers funding and other assistance for affordable housing development and community-based services with the help of for-profits, nonprofits and local governments. Prior to the TDHCA, Mr. Wilkinson served as an advisor to Texas Governor Greg Abbott on housing policy and filled other roles in the Abbott administration’s Budget and Policy Division.

Mr. Wilkinson’s three-year term began January 1.

The Advisory Council is comprised of 14 representatives from state, community and nonprofit organizations in FHLB Dallas’ five-state District. They are appointed by the FHLB Dallas Board of Directors (Board) and advise the Board on affordable housing and economic development issues.
