CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The NRP Group, a vertically integrated, best-in-class developer, builder, and manager of multifamily housing, today announced the addition of Brett Gelsomino as Senior Vice President of Development. Leveraging nearly 20 years of experience in housing development and investment in Florida, Gelsomino will lead the firm’s market-rate development efforts throughout the state, overseeing all aspects from site selection to project completion. Gelsomino will report to Mike Zelenkofske, Executive Vice President of Development at The NRP Group.

With a proven track record in market-rate and luxury housing, Gelsomino will drive The NRP Group’s expansion in Florida, leading site selection, entitlements and development strategy. As the state’s housing market continues to evolve, his appointment strengthens The NRP Group’s commitment to growth, enhancing the firm’s ability to deliver high-quality communities in high-growth markets. His deep understanding of market trends and the evolving expectations of today’s renters will enable The NRP Group to develop distinctive, sought-after communities that set a new benchmark in the industry.

Gelsomino previously spent 14 years at ZOM Development, where he launched and led ZOM’s senior living division as Senior Vice President, overseeing the origination, capitalization and construction of nearly $400 million in luxury rental senior living communities. Since 2007, he has developed over 2,500 multifamily and senior living units throughout the state, with a total cost value exceeding $1 billion. In 2022, he founded Gelsomino Holding, a development and investment firm focused on ground-up multifamily projects in Florida, successfully entitling and closing on nearly 900 units to date. A licensed real estate broker and certified general contractor, Gelsomino brings a well-rounded skill set to his new role.

Gelsomino is the incoming Chairman and adjunct professor of Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Leadership Institute and current Executive Board Member of the Properties Committee at Boy Scouts of America. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction and a Master’s of Science in Real Estate from the University of Florida.
