Missouri American Water Proudly Recognizes American Water Charitable Foundation State Strategic Impact Grantees

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The American Water Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization established by American Water (NYSE: AWK), the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., and Missouri American Water, announced today that the Foundation awarded a total of $100,000 in State Strategic Impact grants to organizations throughout the state. These organizations provide direct support to the communities served by Missouri American Water.

“With this grant we are able to place a live wreath on every veteran gravesite in the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery,” said Bob Smither, board member of the Branson Veterans Task Force. “Any leftover funds will be applied to other projects in our efforts to continuously honor and remember the sacrifices of our veterans and their families.”

  • Wellston Loop Community Development Corporation

“Partnering with the American Water Charitable Foundation through this grant program allows us to provide important resources and programs meeting critical needs and strengthening our communities,” said Rich Svindland, president of Missouri American Water.

The State Strategic Impact grant is part of the 2024 Keep Communities Flowing Grant Program, focusing on three pillars of giving: Water, People and Communities. State Strategic Impact grants support high-impact projects and initiatives throughout American Water’s national footprint.
