AM Best to Host Briefing on Global Reinsurance Market Conditions for 2025; Panelists to Discuss Jan. 1 Renewals, California Wildfires

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will host an analytical briefing to discuss global reinsurance market conditions and the Jan. 1 renewal season on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. EST.

AM Best Senior Associate Editor John Weber will moderate the panel discussion, which is titled, “Reinsurance – January 1 Renewals and What to Expect in 2025.” Panelists for the briefing are Kyle Rhodes, president, North American Operations, TransRe; Laure Forgeron, chief underwriting officer, Casualty, Swiss Re; and Carlos Wong-Fupuy, senior director, AM Best.

Topics of discussion will include major trends in property/casualty reinsurance; material changes observed at the Jan. 1 renewals and their implications; preliminary 2024 results; and thoughts on where the market cycle may be headed. The panel also will give their initial reactions to the California wildfires.
