Grange Insurance Names Mike Hickman VP, National Underwriting and Business Operations

COLUMBUS, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Grange Insurance Company announced the promotion of Mike Hickman to Vice President, National Underwriting and Business Operations, a role serving on the company’s commercial lines leadership team.

In this role, Hickman will focus on developing and implementing Grange’s commercial lines strategy, optimizing the operating model to align with the vision and advancing underwriting processes to drive profitable growth and ensure long-term success. He will oversee two key areas: National Underwriting, which encompasses Specialty Underwriting, Small Business Underwriting and Staff Technical Underwriting Consultants, and Business Operations, which includes Risk Control, Premium Audit and operational support services.

Hickman joined Grange Insurance in 2018. He previously served as AVP, Commercial Underwriting Services where he was responsible for maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of processes with Underwriting Services, and leading the Small Business, Underwriting Consultants, Risk Control, Premium Audit and Operations functions within commercial lines. Prior to Grange, Mike worked at Nationwide in a variety of leadership roles in Commercial Lines Underwriting, Commercial Product and Middle Market Business Development.

Hickman earned his bachelor's degree from Liberty University.
