Lyons & Simmons Attorneys Earn Best Lawyers Under 40 Honors

Stephen Higdon, Michael Fechner recognized for plaintiff personal injury practices

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Partner Stephen Higdon and associate Michael Fechner of the trial firm Lyons & Simmons LLP have been named among 2025’s Best Lawyers Under 40 by D Magazine based on their representation of plaintiffs in personal injury cases.

It is the fifth selection to the annual listing of North Texas’ leading young lawyers for Higdon and the first for Fechner.

Higdon has extensive courtroom experience handling a wide range of complex cases involving catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death throughout Texas and the nation.

In addition to D Magazine’s Best Lawyers Under 40, Higdon has been recognized among Texas Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars, Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch and Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law and Southwestern University.

Fechner represents clients in complex catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases in Texas and throughout the country.

His work has also earned recognition from Texas Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars, Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch and Lawdragon 500 X-The Next Generation. He is a graduate of the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and The University of Texas at Austin. He also serves an integral role with BridgeBuilders, a non-profit organization serving South Dallas residents.

Selection to the Best Lawyers Under 40 list is based on peer nominations, followed by review from an independent panel of distinguished attorneys working in conjunction with D Magazine's editors.
