Colony Bankcorp, Inc. Strengthens Leadership Team With Executive Promotions and Organizational Enhancements

FITZGERALD, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Colony Bankcorp, Inc. (NYSE: CBAN) (“Colony” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the promotion of three seasoned leaders, Ed Canup, Daniel Rentz, and Laurie Senn, to Executive Vice President roles. These leadership changes, along with a strategic organizational realignment, highlight Colony’s commitment to building a sustainable, high-performing independent bank.

Ed Canup, previously Chief Revenue Officer and President of Banking Solutions, has been promoted to Chief Banking Officer. In this role, he will oversee Commercial and Retail Banking as well as complementary business lines. With over 40 years of banking experience, Canup brings a wealth of expertise to the role. Prior to joining Colony, he held key leadership positions at Capital City Bank, including Co-Chief Operating Officer and Chief Revenue Officer.

Daniel Rentz steps into the role of Chief Information Officer and will oversee operations, innovation, technology, enterprise solutions, and project management. With over 15 years at Colony, Rentz has been instrumental in driving the Company’s technology strategy, having previously served as Chief Technology Officer and IT Director.

Laurie Senn has been promoted to Chief Administrative Officer, where she will oversee payments, human resources, marketing, and process improvement. With over 20 years of banking experience, Senn most recently served as Chief Operations Officer, leading the senior management team in driving efficiency and executing strategic initiatives. She previously held leadership roles at Members United Credit Union, AB&T, and Renasant Bank.

As part of the organizational enhancements, D Copeland, President, will take on additional responsibilities to support operations and growth. This adjustment allows Heath Fountain, Chief Executive Officer, to focus more on strategy, vision, and positioning Colony for long-term success.

“These promotions recognize the significant contributions Ed, Daniel, and Laurie have made to Colony’s success. Their leadership and forward-thinking approach will be key as we focus on scaling operations, driving efficiency, and delivering innovative solutions to serve our customers and communities,” said Fountain. “These changes combined with D’s expanded role, further strengthen our foundation for future growth.”
