Village Caregiving Expands to Bring High-Quality Home Care Services to Seniors, Veterans in North Carolina

Home care agency opens Hickory location to serve the Tar Heel state

BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Village Caregiving, one of the largest privately-owned home care agencies in the United States, today announced its expansion into North Carolina with the opening of its first regional office in Hickory. With this entry, Village Caregiving expands its nationwide presence to 22 states. Currently, the company’s growing roster of 3,300 caregivers serve more than 5,500 seniors and veterans, helping them with nonmedical services such as transportation, housekeeping, hygiene assistance and companionship.

“As more seniors age in place longer, the growing responsibility of care will extend beyond family members, who are often juggling many commitments, from work to raising children,” said Jeff Stevens, co-founder and CEO of Village Caregiving. “For more than a decade, thousands of Americans have come to know and rely on Village Caregiving as an affordable and compassionate source of care, and now we’re bringing that same model of care to more seniors, veterans and families in North Carolina.”

“While our focus is on serving northern and western North Carolina, the new office will anchor efforts to expand statewide,” said Jana Crumpler, executive director of Village Caregiving’s Hickory office. “Our opening will bring more purpose-filled jobs to the state as we offer competitive wages, flexibility and professional growth.”

North Carolina’s senior population is rapidly growing with more than 2.7 million residents aged 60 and older, according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. This trend reflects a nationwide demographic shift toward an aging population and underscores the need for accessible, high-quality in-home care.

This year, Village Caregiving also entered Missouri and expanded its presence in nine other cities across several states, bringing the total number of offices to 60 nationwide.
