Sinclair Expands Broadcast Network Footprint of TBD TV Through Partnership With FOX in Top 10 DMAs

TBD TV Will Be Available on FOX Affiliates in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, and Phoenix Beginning January 15 Representing 22 Million TV Households

HUNT VALLEY, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sinclair today announced a network distribution agreement with FOX Television Stations to add Sinclair’s free over-the-air national broadcast TV network TBD TV to FOX’s owned and operated affiliates beginning January 15, 2025.

The expanded agreement positions TBD TV in FOX’s key channel slots in several of the top markets, including the three largest DMAs, adding 22 million total TV households.

TBD TV is the home of big stars and big comedy, with a lineup of ground-breaking, funny franchises. Beginning January 15, TBD TV will be available on the following FOX multicast stations:

  • New York, WNYW Channel 5.4
  • Los Angeles, KTTV Channel 11.3
  • Chicago, WFLD Channel 32.4
  • Atlanta, WAGA Channel 5.4
  • Phoenix, KSAZ Channel 10.4

“We are excited to launch TBD TV on 5 powerhouse FOX-owned television stations, including the top three DMAs in the US. This partnership greatly expands TBD TV's reach while securing big-4 network row positions and maintaining Sinclair’s strategic initiative of growing coverage in the largest DMAs,” said Lee Schlazer, SVP, Distribution. “TBD TV is a great fit with FOX’s younger skewing audience, as TBD TV is the second youngest multicast network*.”

TBD TV will deliver “Saturday Night Live” daily to audiences in NY, LA and Chicago, where SNL on NBC is very popular and over delivers the NBC national average by 40%, 22% and 72% respectively**.

The network has benefitted from a continued investment in successful, proven programming, adding iconic franchises to TBD TV’s lineup and improved distribution and channel positions adjacent to all five broadcast networks, which will continue into 2025 and beyond.

TBD TV’s ratings have increased steadily over the past year with the addition of “Saturday Night Live” to the network’s daily lineup. In November, TBD TV achieved its highest ratings month ever, including a 114% year-over-year increase in Total Day ratings for P25-54***.
