Billings Catholic Schools Sees Positive Impact Following Implementation of PowerSchool MyPowerHub

MyPowerHub used for simplifying engagement with school families

FOLSOM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PowerSchool, a leading provider of cloud-based software for K-12 education in North America, today announced Billings Catholic Schools (BCS) in Billings, Montana has enhanced school-community interactions with the adoption of PowerSchool MyPowerHub, a secure and centralized engagement hub designed to forge enhanced communication and partnership between families and schools. BCS uses MyPowerHub, which has received positive feedback from the BCS community since implementation, in conjunction with other PowerSchool products including PowerSchool SIS, PowerSchool Schoology Learning, and PowerSchool SchoolMessenger. MyPowerHub, which includes newsfeed and calendar features, provides highly needed functionality such as two-way messaging, visibility into school updates, and quick access to grades, assignments, messages, and more to provide educators and families with a one-stop destination for a robust school-to-home connection.

Before implementing MyPowerHub, BCS faced consistent feedback from families and caregivers frustrated by the use of multiple communication and engagement tools. Parents expressed the need for a streamlined, ‘one-stop-shop’ solution to simplify and expand their ability to support their child’s ongoing educational progress. Within the first six months of MyPowerHub’s implementation, more than half of families with students in grades five through eight had logged in, while over 75% of high school families actively engaged with the platform.

“I think MyPowerHub is great — pulling all of the strings into one coherent picture is the perfect solution to the information overload we experience every day,” said Joanna Brailer, Director of Technology, Billings Catholic Schools. “I would recommend MyPowerHub to other districts because it streamlines the flow of information in this day and age and puts everything in one place which is what a parent wants and needs.”

BCS uses MyPowerHub to consolidate information from multiple PowerSchool products into one location, enabling families to better see their child’s academic progress on these platforms. Since implementing MyPowerHub, BCS said families report satisfaction and appreciation for the ability to now see the combination of assignments and grades together. Administrators report that community feedback has been positive and report that the entire school community has become more engaged in student learning and success.

A single MyPowerHub login provides a simple experience for viewing student data on progress and growth. In a consolidated and clean platform, MyPowerHub users have centralized access to school systems, reports, and student progress with minimal clicks. MyPowerHub can make daily processes easier for students, teachers, administrators, parents and caregivers, and district communication leaders.

In addition to MyPowerHub, BCS’ use of PowerSchool SIS, PowerSchool Schoology Learning, and PowerSchool SchoolMessenger together creates a connected and integrated ecosystem for school operations, and learning management. Together, these solutions provide BCS with a comprehensive system to manage student information, engage students through online learning, and keep families informed through timely updates and messages. This holistic approach fosters better collaboration across educators, students, and families, ensuring an enhanced and better-connected educational experience.
