Dollar General Announces 24 Days of Savings

DG to offer discount on a featured item per day from December 1-24

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dollar General (NYSE: DG) understands the importance of saving its customers time and money during this busy holiday season. The retailer will offer daily discounts on a featured item each day starting Sunday, December 1^st and running through Christmas Eve. These 24 Days of Savings will be in addition to the current Decked Out in Deals holiday savings at Dollar General including DG Deal Days with discounts, promotions and instant savings on more than 6,000 items storewide.

“With the stress of fewer shopping days between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, we wanted to find a fun way for our customers to plan for and capture upcoming deep discounts on hot items,” said Emily Taylor, DG’s executive vice president, chief merchandising officer. “The 24 Days of Savings is a unique holiday promotional campaign for DG and is in addition to all the great savings already available in-store on electronics, appliances, gift wrapping, trees and more.”

During the 24 Days of Savings, the featured daily deals for the upcoming week will be announced on Sunday morning in the myDG app, Dollar General’s social media, DG.com 24 Days of Savings landing page, and in-store signage.

Sample deals will include:

• $1 sale on all $3 holiday mugs
• Buy 1, Get 1 Free True Living® everyday plates or bowls
• 50% off 36-inch tower speaker system
• 2 for $6 Smithfield® 12 oz. bacon

Customers can shop the 24 Days of Savings at any of DG’s more than 20,000 stores nationwide. 24 Days of Savings items are while supplies last and not available on-line.
