David Stone of BerryDunn selected for AICPA Leadership Academy

Stone is one of just 30 professionals across the country chosen for the 16^th annual AICPA leadership program.

PORTLAND, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BerryDunn, a full-service assurance, tax, and consulting firm, announces David Stone as one of 30 accounting professionals selected by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to participate in its 2024 Leadership Academy, held in Durham, NC, December 9 – 12. Stone is a Senior Manager in the Financial Services Practice Group at BerryDunn, a national top 50 firm and the largest headquartered in New England.

The highly selective AICPA Leadership Academy is designed to strengthen and expand the leadership skills of promising professionals while providing networking opportunities with a peer group of talented and motivated CPAs. During the four-day program, participants will engage in career-development workshops and sessions with some of the accounting profession’s most prominent influencers.

He is a former President of the Maine Society of CPAs, a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, a frequent speaker and attendee at Financial Managers Society and New England banking association events, and leads several internal teams. Stone is a recipient of the AICPA’s Elijah Watt Sells Award, which recognizes outstanding performance on the Uniform CPA Examination.
