BerryDunn’s Olga Gross-Balzano Appointed to CMS Partnership for Quality Measurement (PQM)™ Committee

PORTLAND, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BerryDunn, a full-service assurance, tax, and consulting firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Olga Gross-Balzano, CPA, a Senior Manager in the Healthcare Practice Group, to the Endorsement and Maintenance (E&M) Cost and Efficiency PQM™ Committee. Established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the PQM™ Committee is a group of experts who endorse measures for the improvement of quality healthcare. Gross-Balzano will serve a three-year term and work to improve healthcare cost and efficiency measures and the consensus-building process.

Gross-Balzano is the only BerryDunn employee appointed to the PQM™ Committee. “I am honored to be joining other healthcare experts on the committee, including clinicians, facility leaders, and researchers,” she says. “I’ll be working to build consensus in my two-year term on the advisory group, and during my third year on the recommendation group.” The E&M process helps ensure that healthcare measures reviewed by the PQM™ are evidence-based, safe, and effective.
