The Standard Promotes Chris Herington to Second Vice President of Individual Disability Insurance Shared Services

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) announced today that Chris Herington has been promoted to second vice president of Individual Disability Insurance Shared Services.

Herington has worked at The Standard since 2014, most recently as a senior director leading the teams that provide end-to-end service to one of The Standard’s largest customers. In his new role, Herington will assume responsibility for a variety of critical functions and teams including Individual Disability Insurance Claims, Operations and Business Improvement and System Support.

“Chris is a respected leader with a proven track record of successfully leading teams across multiple disciplines,” said Jeremy Horner, vice president of Individual Disability Insurance and Corporate Development at The Standard. “His focus on customer service, continuous improvement and operational excellence will benefit the IDI Shared Services teams as well as the rest of the division.”

Herington earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Washington.
