dēhp Therapeutic CEO Presenting at the Hope Beyond the Walls Conference

Josette Sullins will explore how unresolved trauma intersects with reentry challenges

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dēhp Therapeutic CEO and founder Josette Sullins will present at the Hope Beyond the Walls conference at Arizona State University Memorial Union on Saturday, October 26th. The event will take place from 9am-5pm and will cover all things related to reentry and the struggles justice-involved individuals face.

Josette Sullins will be a panelist for the Plenary Session—Understanding the Social Determinants of Health from 10:25-11:35am, which will focus on the critical role that social determinants—such as housing, food security, healthcare and family support—play in shaping reentry outcomes for justice-involved individuals. The panel will explore how policy influence the rehabilitation process and long-term success post-incarceration. Joining Josette on the panel will be Brenda Furnish (William Morris Institute for Justice), Will Gonzalez (Phoenix Municipal Court), Analise Ortiz (AZ House of Representative), Walter Blackman (AZ House of Representative).

Josette will also be hosting Do, Be, Know, Stages of Development of dēhp Therapeutic from 1:25-1:55pm. Participants will explore how unresolved trauma can impact their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing, and how it often intersects with challenges related to reentry, such as employment, housing and relationships. The session will focus on building a supportive community among participants, fostering connections and accessing resources that promote long-term recovery and reintegration.

“I’m more than excited to participate in the Hope Beyond the Walls conference,” said Josette Sullins, CEO of dēhp Therapeutic. “It’s time to shine a spotlight on the mental impacts of reentry and the challenges justice-individuals face. I look forward to meeting the participants and demonstrating what can be accomplished when you have a support system. I also look forward to providing them with helpful tools for successful reentry.”

The event kicks off at 9am with registration, resource tabling and networking breakfast. Attendees will sign in, receive conference materials, and enjoy a light breakfast as well as have the chance to connect with peers and professionals in the field. This is followed by welcome and opening remarks from Khalil Rushdan, which will focus on the conference theme and AZ Village Network 2025 policy objectives, emphasizing the importance of health in successful reentry.
