BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Petsense by Tractor Supply is excited to partner with animal shelters nationwide for its semiannual “Adoptathon” event, taking place on Saturday, October 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at all Petsense by Tractor Supply locations nationwide.

Last spring’s event helped find homes for 1,142 pets; this fall Petsense by Tractor Supply is building upon that momentum with a goal to place 1,200 dogs and cats into loving homes.

According to recent reports from the ASPCA, approximately 6.3 million animals enter U.S. shelters each year, with many waiting for months to find a home. Shelters Animals Count recently reported that in the first half of 2024, 3,118,000 dogs and cats entered shelters nationwide. Events like the semiannual Adoptathon help reduce the time animals spend in shelters, increase adoption rates and contribute to the overall well-being of shelter pets.

Customers who attend the Adoptathon can expect:
