Hicks Thomas Named Among the Nation’s Top Litigation Law Firms by Benchmark Litigation

10 firm partners earn individual recognition

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hicks Thomas LLP has earned repeat recognition by Benchmark Litigation, a guide to the best litigation law firms and lawyers in the country. The firm is recognized in the 2025 guide for excellence in dispute resolution, and 10 firm partners earned individual honors.

Benchmark Litigation is the only legal guide to focus exclusively on litigation in the United States. It selects honorees based on a thorough analysis of casework, interviews with litigators, peer reviews and feedback from clients.

“We are trial lawyers. Litigation is what we do,” said Hicks Thomas partner John B. Thomas. “This team works incredibly hard each and every day, so to be recognized for that work, especially by our peers and clients, is really something special.”

Along with the firm honors, Hicks Thomas partners John B. Thomas, Courtney Ervin, Eric Grant, Robin Harrison, Cameron Pope, John Shely and Katherine Strahan were named 2025 Litigation Stars.

Additionally, partners Courtney Glaser and Stewart Hoffer were recognized by Benchmark Litigation as Future Stars, and partner Kelsey Hope was named to the Benchmark 40 & Under list.

The Benchmark Litigation honors come at a monumental time for Hicks Thomas. In September, the firm announced it is expanding its team of litigators with the addition of nine partners and seven associates. The new commercial trial lawyers have a wide range of experience handling complex commercial matters, including representing clients in managed care litigation, Employee Retirement Income Security Act cases and Medicare and Affordable Care Act claims.
