AM Best to Sponsor, Exhibit and Host Panel Discussion at InsureTech Connect 2024

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will sponsor, exhibit and host a panel discussion on the implications of new technologies on insurance underwriting operations at the annual InsureTech Connect conference, taking place Oct. 15-17, 2024, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV.

Andrea Keenan, executive vice president and chief strategy officer, AM Best, will deliver remarks at the start of the session, titled “Risk Transfer: Capitalizing on Specialization.” A panel discussion follows, and will explore tech-enabled transformations in underwriting, innovations in business models and impacts on insurers’ financial stability and strength. Joining the panel will be Steve Dresner, president, Everspan Insurance Group; Juan Carlos Martinez, CEO and chairman, CargoCorp Underwriters; and Tom Parsons, head of digital strategy, Amwins, with Greg Williams, senior director, AM Best, moderating. They also will dive into establishing and exceeding standards of excellence in the delegated underwriting authority enterprise (DUAE) space, which includes managing general agents and other similar entities, including the importance of measurable metrics, aligned interests and differentiating factors. The session is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 3:05 p.m. PDT in Mandalay Bay Ballroom D.

The conference is the largest insurance-industry event covering innovation, and it provides insight to insurers on how to reinvent themselves amid disruptive forces caused by emerging technologies and insurtech startups.
