Billy Ocean Announces Fall Tour Stop at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh

‘Caribbean Queen’ singer returns to the North Shore

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--When the going gets tough, the tough get going. When soul-pop megastar Billy Ocean stops at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, music fans will get going to the North Shore to witness the legendary vocalist perform his generations of hits live.

Ocean last performed at Rivers in 2012 at the outdoor amphitheater, drawing a crowd that nearly shut down traffic as commuters pulled over to listen.

Tickets to see the international icon’s 7 p.m. show in The Event Center on Saturday, Nov. 2, are available now, beginning at $29.

Ocean is best known for a string of pop and soul anthems in the ’70s and ’80s, such as the Grammy Award-winning hit “Caribbean Queen (No More Love On the Run)” and chart toppers “Suddenly,” “Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car” and “When the Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going.” Billy Ocean is Britain’s most commercially successful Black artist, having sold more than 30 million records worldwide.

Ocean has collected a pile of gold and platinum records around the world, hitting the No. 1 spot in the pop charts worldwide, including in the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Germany and the Netherlands.

Ocean has proven to be one of the most hardworking musical acts of all time, touring the world to ever-growing enthusiastic audiences. Having achieved extraordinary success, both as a musician and songwriter, Ocean’s illustrious career has cemented him in music history as a true once-in-a-generation talent and bona fide superstar.

“Billy Ocean is one of R&B’s most celebrated icons, with a collection of hits we’ve been singing along to for decades,” said Shannon Redmond, vice president of marketing at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh. “His early November show at Rivers will be a terrific way to kick off the holiday season.”
