AM Best to Sponsor and Lead Session at 2024 ACLI Conference

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will lead a session focused on strong trends in the annuity market at the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) Annual Conference, which takes place, Sept. 25-27, 2024, in Chicago.

Ken Frino, managing director, and Michael Porcelli, senior director, both of AM Best, will deliver the presentation, titled, “Annuity Market Soars - New Entrants Bring Capacity and Competition,” during which they will look at the dynamics driving record sales in the fixed annuity market in 2023, along with the risks insurers face and the future of the annuity product line. They also will deliver insights on what this product shift means for the portfolios of life/annuity insurers and discuss what lies ahead for annuity writers with regards to the interest rate environment.

The senior AM Best analysts each hold decades of experience in the insurance industry, managing analytic teams responsible for the rating agency’s coverage of the North American and Caribbean life/annuity sector. The 45-minute presentation takes place on Friday, Sept. 27, at 7:45 a.m. CDT as the “Hot Issues Breakfast Session.”

The annual ACLI event brings together senior executives from life insurance and financial services companies to examine current business and political issues. This year’s program, of which AM Best is sponsoring as a conference partner, is themed as “Action to Impact,” and features sessions addressing investment, compliance, legislative and accounting issues.
