Curtiss-Wright to Celebrate 95th Anniversary by Ringing The Closing Bell® at the New York Stock Exchange

DAVIDSON, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) will commemorate the 95th anniversary of its listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) by ringing The Closing Bell® today, Thursday, August 29, at 4:00 p.m. EDT. The Company began trading on the NYSE on August 22, 1929.

In recognition of this milestone, Chair and Chief Executive Officer Lynn M. Bamford will ring the NYSE Closing Bell®, accompanied by members of the executive leadership team and guests.

“We are excited to celebrate our 95th continuous year as a publicly traded company and one of the 50 longest-listed companies on the New York Stock Exchange by ringing The Closing Bell,” said Bamford. “Curtiss-Wright has a rich and distinguished heritage, and a legacy of innovation and ingenuity that began with the earliest pioneers of the aviation industry. Today, we continue to embrace their spirit of innovation through continuous investment in our portfolio of advanced and mission critical technologies, and are building momentum through the execution of our Pivot to Growth strategy to ensure long-term success.”

The company traces its origin to Glenn H. Curtiss, the pioneer of naval aviation, and Orville and Wilbur Wright, aviation pioneers renowned for history's first flight. The Wright Brothers' first manned, heavier-than-air machine-powered flight in 1903 propelled the reality of flight for millions of dreamers and innovators. As a result of their successes, Curtiss-Wright was formed on July 5, 1929, by the merger of their companies, including the Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company of Buffalo, New York, and Wright Aeronautical of Dayton, Ohio.

The event will be webcast live beginning at 3:56 p.m. EDT via www.nyse.com/bell.
