Roku Announces New Innovation Hub in Bengaluru

BENGALURU, India--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Roku, the TV streaming pioneer, announced the opening of its new office in Bengaluru, the heart of India’s tech scene. Located in Embassy Golf Links Business Park, Challaghatta, the site will serve as a key innovation hub for the company, driving advancement in cutting-edge technology, software engineering, machine learning, and product development for the #1 TV streaming platform in the U.S. and Mexico.

Roku is actively recruiting for engineering roles in Bengaluru, focusing on advertising, cloud, platform, devices, the Roku operating system (OS), and more streaming innovations. The Roku OS is purpose built for TV and powers Roku TV models and streaming players. Worldwide, Roku devices are used by over 80 million streaming households.

With Bengaluru joining other Roku engineering hubs, the company expands into the “Silicon Valley of India.” Roku’s new office is positioned next to world-leading educational institutions and a highly skilled pool of engineering talent, as well as a network of other leading tech companies in the region.
