Borba will drive growth and enhance player development for premier youth baseball organization competing at the highest level

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ZT Baseball, a premier youth baseball organization with more than 100 teams across the U.S., announced today the strategic hiring of Coach Eric Borba as National High School Director. Borba has a storied coaching career in California and will bring his leading philosophies to the exceptional youth of ZT Baseball.

“When we look to bring new talent to the ZT Baseball family, we examine both their vision for our athletes and their character on and off the field. Coach Borba is a shining example of a great coach who has inspired athletes throughout his career, but also who has helped shape their futures through baseball,” said Taseer Badar, CEO of ZT Corporate and Founder of ZT Baseball. “We were highly selective when hiring for this position. I’m excited to see the growth and potential that Coach Borba will unlock for our players in the coming years.”

“ZT Baseball has grown into a premier youth baseball organization across the U.S., and I am excited to be part of such an inspirational, first-class program,” said Eric Borba, National High School Director of ZT Baseball. “The young athletes are well-prepared to excel on the baseball field and in their academic pursuits, and I look forward to contributing to their growth in both areas. I cannot wait to be part of the team that brings the ZT Baseball experience to the next level.”

Borba’s esteemed coaching career includes more than 15 years at Orange Lutheran High School where he led the varsity baseball team to win multiple championships, sent more than 85 players to the Division 1 level and had 15 players drafted by the MLB, including first round picks. He was also involved in USA Baseball and served in coaching roles at Sonoma State University as well as a variety of high school positions. He brings strengths in recruitment, athletic department management, student tutoring, scholarship budgeting and more.

“Eric is going to be a fantastic asset to our program as we look to grow nationally and further establish partnerships with universities and training centers across the U.S.,” said Mohsin Malik, President of ZT Baseball. “Not only is he a great coach, but he understands our mission to be a leading national program that produces well-rounded student athletes who excel in college and beyond.”
