A.M. Best Reaffirms Grange Insurance's "A" (Excellent) Rating and Stable Outlook

COLUMBUS, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Grange Insurance Company and its affiliate Integrity Insurance Company continue to be financially strong and stable, according to A.M. Best, a global credit rating agency that specializes in the insurance industry.

A.M. Best reaffirmed Grange Insurance and Integrity Insurance’s financial strength rating (FSR) of “A” (Excellent) and its stable outlook for all its property and casualty companies. The FSR is the most crucial component of A.M. Best’s rating as it indicates a carrier’s ability to pay its policyholders’ future claims.

In addition, Grange, and Integrity’s Issuer Credit Rating (ICR) remains an “a+” (Excellent). This rating indicates that Grange and Integrity have an excellent ability to meet ongoing senior financial obligations placing us among the top tier of insurance companies across the United States.

“We continue to build on our foundation of financial strength, even during these unprecedented times,” said Grange Enterprise President and CEO John Ammendola. “Last year, A.M. Best recognized Grange for ‘Standing the Test of Time’ as we have maintained a Best’s Financial Strength Rating of “A” (Excellent) or higher for at least 50 years. This year’s reaffirmation of our rating and outlook continues to reinforce our enduring sound financial management and our commitment to delivering on our promise of providing peace of mind and protection to our policyholders.”

A.M. Best also reaffirmed Grange’s innovation capabilities as “Prominent.” In previous analysis across their rating universe, a “Prominent” assessment generally placed a company in the top 10% versus companies reviewed.

“Grange is proud to receive these positive ratings. Innovation is crucial to our ability to adapt to the rapidly changing insurance landscape,” said Ammendola. “We enable innovation to thrive across every aspect of our business to support the success of our agency partners and meet policyholders evolving needs.”

Grange and Integrity have a long-standing “A” financial strength rating from A.M. Best, and financial strength is a critical consideration when it comes to purchasing insurance.
