Sunflower Bank, N.A. Announces Continuation of Community Partner Awards

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sunflower Bank, N.A. has announced the public nomination period for its 2024 Community Partner Awards. The Community Partner Awards were created in 2023 to provide grants to outstanding organizations in Sunflower Bank, First National 1870 and Guardian Mortgage communities. From July 30 to August 23, 2024, the public has the opportunity to nominate local community partners in qualified counties of Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Texas, and Washington for an award.

The Community Partner Awards are led by the bank’s Community Affairs Office and includes participation from employees, individual community members, and local organizations. This year, Sunflower Bank, N.A. will again donate a total of $80,000 through nineteen Community Partner Award grants of $2,000 to $15,000. Check donation presentations will be held throughout the months of November and December.

Community Partner Award winners are chosen from nominees that:

  • Demonstrate exceptional focus on community enhancement through their work; or
  • Support one of the bank’s main impact areas: affordable housing, economic development, financial education, or community services; or
  • Help make stronger communities that are diverse, equitable, inclusive, and modeled to create opportunities for all.

During the nomination period, community members and Sunflower Bank, N.A. employees can nominate organizations for award consideration. Organizations receiving the greatest number of nominations in each market will be considered for one of four awards.
