Morris Manning Names Kate Pearch as Firm’s First Chief Strategy Officer

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Morris, Manning & Martin today announced Kate Pearch has been named the firm’s first Chief Strategy Officer. Pearch, who most recently served as the firm’s Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, will work hand-in-hand with the executive and management committees to help the firm identify and successfully adapt to changes in the market to ensure its long-term health and ongoing growth.

“Kate’s promotion to Chief Strategy Officer is a natural progression and recognition of the leadership she has shown helping to drive our strategic initiatives over the years,” said the firm’s managing partner, Simon Malko. “Kate has played a pivotal role in shaping our firm's strategy, leading key projects that have significantly enhanced our market position. Few people know our firm like she does, and her leadership and deep understanding of our business have been instrumental in our success.”

Pearch, who has been with the firm for nearly two decades, began her career as a marketing coordinator and gradually took on more responsibility within marketing and business development. As CMBDO for the past seven years, she worked closely with firm leadership to identify, prioritize, and pursue revenue and growth opportunities. She also served as a strategic business adviser to practice group leaders regarding key organizational, business development and management issues. While she will continue to oversee the firm’s marketing and business development team, Pearch will devote more of her time to implementing the firm’s strategic initiatives, including client, lateral, and revenue expansion, working closely with Malko on those priorities.

Pearch has also played a pivotal role in developing internal firm initiatives that have shaped MMM’s culture. She founded the firm’s Women’s Initiative, which has helped attract and retain women and position them on a path for partnership through mentorship and professional development. She also co-founded the firm's Recruiting, Retention & Training Committee, an internal leadership group that helped develop, promote, and retain talented associates. Pearch also serves on the firm’s MMMPact Committee, which directs MMM’s corporate social responsibility outreach.

“What started as a job search for a position at one of Atlanta’s best places to work has evolved into a fulfilling career at a firm I’ve been fortunate to call home for nearly 20 years,” said Pearch. “I’m honored to take on the role of CSO and serve as one of the few women in this role within the Am Law 200. This position underscores MMM’s commitment to continuous growth and innovation, and I look forward to continuing to drive MMM’s positive momentum and success.”
