PEMCO Insurance Ranked First in the Northwest by J.D. Power

PEMCO best in the Northwest region in the prestigious J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Auto Insurance Study

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PEMCO Mutual Insurance is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by J.D. Power as the No. 1 insurer in customer satisfaction among auto insurers in the Northwest Region. This award marks the eighth time PEMCO has been recognized as number one in the Northwest for customer satisfaction by J.D. Power, previously being recognized from 2013 through 2019.

This year, the Seattle-based insurer received the top ranking in four of the seven dimensions measured – including people, ease of doing business, product/coverage offerings and problem resolution. It performed particularly well in the remaining three dimensions of digital channels, price for coverage and trust.

“The recognition from our customers in J.D. Power’s ranking reflects the priority our entire team places on the customer experience,” said PEMCO CEO Stan McNaughton. “Our goal is to create peace of mind for our customers. Our rankings in ‘ease of doing business’ and ‘problem resolution’ shows that we’re delivering on that goal and will seek to do so for years to come.”

Though serving Washington and Oregon residents exclusively, PEMCO outranked 13 other regional and national competitors doing business in the Northwest Region (which also includes Idaho, Montana and Wyoming).

Since 1949, PEMCO has served Northwest residents using the power of human connection at every touchpoint to help its communities thrive. As a mutual insurer, PEMCO is committed to its mission to “free our communities to worry less and live more,” in part by providing the best possible service to customers.

The J.D. Power survey data was collected from August 2023 through April 2024 using an online methodology via multiple consumer panel sources. The study was conducted by J.D. Power and resulted in 41,242 completed customer responses.
