American Water to Contribute Expertise to Several Panels for AWWA ACE24

Chelsea Kulp, Senior Manager, Government and External Affairs, New Jersey American Water, will give best practices through her education session, Communications Tactics Developed When Your Lead Service Line Replacement Program Requires Support from All of Your Customers. Kulp will highlight the steps in the evolution of an effective communications program, driven by performance metrics and real-time results.

Rob Burton, President, West Virginia American Water; Megan Hannah, Senior Manager, Government and External Affairs, West Virginia American Water, and Erica Pauken, Manager, Compliance, American Water, will lead a discussion titled, Our Response to the East Palestine Ohio Train Derailment Focused on Source Water Protection, Resiliency, and Emergency Response. The group will provide insight into the successful operational and communications response to the East Palestine, Ohio train derailment from February 2023, which impacted several states and the water supply along the Ohio River.
