American Water to Contribute Expertise to Panel at the 2024 MARC Annual Conference

CAMDEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American Water (NYSE: AWK), the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., announced today that it will be participating at the 2024 Mid-America Regulatory Conference (MARC), taking place June 9 through 12, in Minneapolis, Minn.

Matt Prine, President, Indiana American Water, will participate in a panel titled Innovative Ideas in Commission Permitting and Community Engagement. Prine and other expert panelists will highlight the ways that our region’s utilities, developers, regulators, stakeholders, and communities have worked together for the public good.

MARC represents an association of regional organizations of utility and energy regulatory agencies from 14 states that include: Arkansas, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin.

Since 1958, MARC has sponsored an annual meeting and conference of Commissioners and staff from member state agencies, as well as representatives of regulated industries and the public at large, to share ideas and discuss regulatory and policy issues affecting their states, region and the nation.
