Grant Thornton’s Steven Wrappe named a Bloomberg Tax Author Award recipient

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Steven Wrappe, managing director and transfer pricing technical leader in the firm’s Washington National Tax office, has been named the Federal Tax Contributing Author of the Year as part of the Bloomberg Tax Author Awards. This honor is the latest achievement for Wrappe, a tax leader and globally-recognized authority in transfer pricing.

His contributions include more than 100 articles spanning transfer pricing topics, including advance pricing agreements (APAs), enforcement and compliance. Wrappe is well known for his ability to help large multinational clients in areas such as planning, compliance and dispute resolution.

David Sites, national managing partner and International Tax Services practice leader, commends Wrappe's track record of success.

“Steve’s knowledge in international tax, particularly in the realm of transfer pricing, has enhanced our firm's capabilities and client experiences,” said Sites. “He continually guides businesses through complex challenges and helps them to make strategic decisions in today's complex regulatory landscape. This recognition from Bloomberg speaks to Steve's impact for our clients and the broader tax community."

Wrappe’s experience in transfer pricing spans examinations, appeals, and alternative dispute resolution, with a primary focus on APAs and the mutual agreement procedure.

He has been involved in more than 200 APAs across industries and spanning 16 countries. This includes the first coordinated customs ruling/bilateral APA. Additionally, Wrappe has served as an adjunct professor at the New York University School of Law for over 15 years.

“I am humbled by this recognition and privileged to share insights on the intricacies of transfer pricing with readers and clients alike,” said Wrappe. “This award reaffirms my dedication to advancing our profession, and I will continue to contribute through outlets like Bloomberg Tax and empower others with valuable knowledge that makes a difference."
