Kopin to Demonstrate Day and Night Readable Warfighter Vision Concepts at SOF Week

WESTBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kopin Corporation (NASDAQ: KOPN) a leading provider of application-specific optical solutions and high-performance micro-displays for defense, enterprise, consumer, and medical products, today announced it will be demonstrating daytime and nighttime readable Head-Up Display (HUD) concepts during the Special Operations Forces (SOF) Week from May 6^th to May 10^th in Tampa, Florida.

The need for advanced head-mounted display solutions that are easily readable in all ambient lighting conditions is increasing as the number of digital information sources for the Warfighter continues to expand. Warfighters require a solution that can display a wide variety of information in a heads-up viewing configuration, eliminating the loss of situational awareness that comes from viewing information in a “head-down” mode. Kopin is developing several products that address this growing market by capitalizing on the company’s strong technology portfolio and extensive experience with dismounted Warfighter vision systems.
