AM Best to Participate in Panel Discussions at InsurTech Hartford Symposium 2024

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best’s Sridhar Manyem and Dawn Walker will moderate panel discussions at the InsurTech Hartford Symposium 2024, which will take place April 17-18, 2024, at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT.

Manyem, senior director, industry research and analytics, AM Best, will moderate two panels, the first of which is titled, “Digital Health & Life: Wearables, Data, and Personalized Policies,” scheduled for 3:55 p.m. (EDT) on Wednesday, April 17. The program will explore the insurance-related implications of the growing trend of wearable devices, which help users make changes in their lifestyle by providing more control to their habits. His second session, “Emerging Risks: Using Data to Price the Unpriced,” will look at how insurers are leveraging data analytics to create more accurate and informed pricing strategies, thereby re-shaping the future of insurance pricing. This session is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. (EDT) on Thursday, April 18. Manyem is the head of AM Best’s industry research team and oversees publishing of the company’s perspectives on topical issues.

Walker’s session, titled, “How AI is Changing Underwriting,” will discuss the transformative impact artificial intelligence (AI) is having on underwriting, as well as exploring how AI is revolutionizing the traditional process in risk evaluation, pricing and more. The panel discussion will take place on Thursday, April 18, at 11:35 a.m. (EDT). Walker, associate director, industry relations, AM Best, with a focus on delegated underwriting authority enterprises, has more than 15 years of insurance industry and risk management experience.
